FOOD SAFETY

 

Public Health Inspectors play a key role in ensuring the food that is prepared and sold to the public is safe. The following food premises are inspected on a routine, follow up and complaint basis:

• Food Safety

• Swimming Pools

• Rental Properties
• Tobacco Control
• Communicable Disease
• Plumbing/Wastewater Disposal
  • Restaurants (Online Restaurant Inspections)  
  • Meat Processors
  • Slaughterhouse
  • Temporary Food Facilities
  • Bakeshops
  • Grocery Stores
  • Farmer's Market

Food Safety Training

Food Safety courses are offered frequently by the Five Hills Health Region.  The cost is $50 per person and includes course materials, thermometer and certificate.  Courses are located in the Davies Building, 110 Ominica Street West, Lower Level, Conference Room # 2, Moose Jaw.
