Public Health Services - Public Health Inspections

Public Health Inspectors work as part of a multi-disciplinary health team that strives to reduce the incidence of communicable disease and health hazards.

Public Health Inspectors respond to environmental concerns by investigating complaints and inspecting premises to ensure compliance with Regulations made under The Public Health Act, 1994 and The Tobacco Control Act

The program areas that Public Health is responsible for include Food Safety, Safe Drinking Water, Swimming Pools, Licensed Accommodations, Rental Properties, Tobacco Control, Communicable Disease Investigation and Plumbing and Onsite Wastewater Disposal.
