Yellow Fever Vaccine Shortage - updated January 15, 2019

Zika Virus

The risk to individuals in Canada remains very low, as mosquitoes known to transmit the virus are not etablished in Canada and are not well‐suited to our climate. However, anyone travelling to regions where Zika virus is circulating is at risk of being infected. The best way to prevent it is to protect yourself from mosquito bites by using insect repellent, bed nets, and wearing light‐coloured long‐sleeved shirts and long pants.
